One of my good wings pointed something out to me recently and I can't believe how right he was.

Congratulations, you're in the matrix! Unfortunately we aren't all the Neo's we want to be.

There is a massive fucking issue with the Matrix. Instead of Neo, we're all Syler. You see when we see the matrix, we realise....We didn't fucking want it.

Honestly, the world was a safe place compared to the one full of robots. Who wants a real world when you can live in the relative bliss of ignorance?

Every girl we see we can get. We know how to get her into bed, we can take what we want, but then it loses it's value. That which we don't work for has no value for us. So we move on looking for the next best thing. Until we find her.

What about the one we can't get? Unfortunately, by definition, we can't get her.

So now we are straight back at square one: hunting for the girl we can't get. Only now it's that much harder because every time we get one we lose interest.

Sometimes... sometimes... I wish I could go back to the world where I had a girl who was alright. I'd be happy and content and not think about whether I could get anything better.

I'm getting older and as I age I want stability, a real relationship and marriage. The longer I'm in the game, the harder I believe it will be. Not finding a girl. But finding one I’m happy with.
